Vidal nearing Inter move?

Inter Milan lead Aleix Vidal chase

22 October 2016 - 05:02

Inter Milan are frontrunners to secure the services of unsettled Barcelona full-back Aleix Vidal. The Spain international has fallen out-of-favour under Luis Enrique this season.

  • Chelsea ready new contract for star midfielder
  • Chelsea make first move to sign Xabi Alonso
  • The 27-year-old was expected to cement a regular role in the defence this term after Dani Alves opted to join Juventus on a free transfer in the summer.

However, Enrique has had other thoughts in mind with Sergi Roberto getting the node for the right-back position whilst summer recruit Samuel Umtiti has been identified as a capable back-up.

Calciomercato reports that the Nerazzurri are weighing up a bid for the former Sevilla man with manager Frank de Boer concerned over the club's poor start to the new campaign.

Vidal was valued in the &pound35m range over the summer, but it is thought that Barca will have to come down on their price, if they are to sell the player in the winter transfer window.

The defender has made a solitary league start for Barcelona this season.
