AC Milan explore Daniel Sturridge deal

19 November 2016 - 07:00

AC Milan will step up their interest in Daniel Sturridge, should Carlos Bacca depart the club in the January transfer window. The Liverpool striker has struggled to impress under Jurgen Klopp this season.

  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal
  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • According to Calciomercato, the Rossoneri are lining up a list of targets for the New Year with Bacca keen on pursuing a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

The Colombian ace was tipped to join the French giants in the summer before an issue with the Non-EU quota cancelled the deal.

However, with David Luiz (Now at Chelsea) having departed Parc des Princes, there is a place for a player without a European passport, and this would allow Bacca to seal his preferred move.

Sturridge has failed to attain regular playing time at Anfield this season, and it is understood that the Rossoneri would take a risk with the injury-plagued striker in the upcoming transfer window.

The England international has made just four league starts for Liverpool this term, and his situation is unlikely to improve unless the Reds go through an injury crisis.
