Manchester United are prepared to cough up a £25m sum to re-sign former player Michael Keane from Burnley.
The 23-year-old has been fundamental to the Clarets' progress over the past year, and this has captured the attention of top Premier League clubs.
According to The Star, manager Jose Mourinho has urged the club's hierarchy to move for one of their former graduates in Michael Keane.
Keane was sold out to Burnley for a mere £2.5m in January 2015, and this is something United would regret, given he is likely to cost 10 times the price this winter.
Apart from United, Chelsea also hold a firm interest in Keane, but it is yet to be revealed whether United have the first option on the central defender.
Keane has been rewarded for his efforts at Burnley this season having twice earned a call-up to the England national side.
