Premier League leaders Chelsea are set to open up contract negotiations with wing-back Victor Moses amid the impending interest from Barcelona. The Nigerian international has established himself as a regular under Antonio Conte this season.

  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • According to Sky Sports News, the Blues are expected to push through a contract extension this week with Barcelona keeping a close watch on the player's progress at Stamford Bridge.

The 25-year-old was nothing more than a squad player at the start of the season with manager Antonio Conte opting for the usual back four.

However, following defeats to Liverpool and Arsenal, the Italian decided to shift to a 3-4-3 formation, and this has seen Moses solidify his place at the right wing-back position.

Moses has previously insisted that Barcelona are his 'dream club' and he would delay the process of a fresh contract with a view to earning a bumper salary at West London.

The Super Eagles forward was on target for Chelsea over the weekend as they beat London rivals Tottenham Hotspur by a 2-1 scoreline in the Premier League.
