Juventus are prepared to step up their pursuit for Sevilla midfielder Steven N'Zonzi amid interest from the likes of Chelsea and Barcelona.

  • The 27-year-old joined Sevilla from Premier League side Stoke City last year, and has since evolved into a key performer at the Estadio Ramon.

Italian source La Stampa claims that the Old Lady will make the push to sign N'Zonzi in January despite the midfielder being in contract discussions with Sevilla.

N'Zonzi is said to be rated highly by manager Max Allegri, and has been identified as a potential replacement for Paul Pogba, who left for Manchester United on a world-record deal in the summer.

The French-born footballer appeared in 195 outings for Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City in the Premier League before making the move to La Liga.
