West Ham line up Michy Batshuayi move

Batshuayi to West Ham?

West Ham line up Michy Batshuayi move

18 December 2016 - 06:30

West Ham United will reportedly propose a short-term loan for Michy Batshuayi when the transfer window reopens next month. The Belgian international has had a frustrating time under Antonio Conte this season.

  • Chelsea eyeing part-exchange deal to sign Osimhen
  • Arsenal defender misses training ahead of Man Utd game

  • Batshuayi, 22, had received offers from the likes of West Ham United and Crystal Palace in the summer before he opted to join the Blues where he hoped to cement himself as a regular.

However, since then, things have not gone right for the former Marseille star with Conte sticking with a lone striker in Diego Costa with Pedro, Willian and Eden Hazard sharing the duties in the wider areas.

Widespread sources suggest that the Hammers are hopeful of pursuing a temporary deal for Batshuayi in January with a potential buy option at the end of the season.

Both of Batshuayi's starts have come in the EFL Cup this season, but he will be hopeful of earning 90 minutes of league action against Bournemouth with Diego Costa (five yellow cards) suspended for the Boxing Day clash.
