  • Costa, 28, recently had a rift with manager Antonio Conte in training, and this seems to have unsettled the player's focus in West London.

The striker has been training apart from his teammates in recent days, and it is understood that he could be lured by a Chinese challenge in the summer.

According to The Independent, both Barca and former club Atleti are monitoring the player's developments and could tempt him to move to Spain instead of the Far East.

Costa has previously iterated his desire to return to his adopted nation, and a move to Spain could be something he may prefer at the end of the season.

Barca are reportedly looking for a suitable competitor for Luis Suarez, who turns 30 next week. Meanwhile, Atleti are on the search for a new centre-forward with the club alleged to have agreed on a record &pound100m deal for Antoine's Griezmann move to Manchester United.

Costa has been in fine form for Chelsea this season, netting 14 goals in the Premier League.
