West Bromwich Albion are considering a move for German centre back Per Mertesacker. Reports suggest that the Arsenal defender has been told he can leave on a temporary loan move.
Mertesacker has slipped down to fourth in the pecking order at the Emirates; behind Gabriel, Koscielny and Mustafi. West Brom manager Tony Pulis is a big fan of the World Cup winning defender and has even hinted that he would like to sign Mertesacker on a permanent basis. The centre back has one and a half years remaining on his Arsenal contract.
