Yaya Toure snubs China offer

17 January 2017 - 18:51

Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has reportedly snubbed a big-money move to the Chinese Super League. The Ivorian footballer is determined to prolong his Premier League career.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao
  • Toure, 33, had a tough start to the league campaign as a disagreement between his agent and manager Pep Guardiola affected his chances of earning a regular role.

Since then, he has been recalled to the starting line-up and has netted four goals in 11 outings for the club in all competitions.

According to PA Sport, the veteran has turned down a lucrative switch to the Far East as he bids to earn a fresh contract at the Etihad.

The former Ivory Coast international has just six months left on his previous deal, but he is determined to prove himself worthy of an extension under the leadership of Guardiola.
