Manchester United have reportedly agreed on an initial £16m sum to sell Memphis Depay to Lyon. The Netherlands international will get the chance to revive his career following a nightmarish spell under Jose Mourinho.
The French outfit have been negotiations for the player over the past week, and it is now revealed that they have settled on a transfer package for his sale.
According to reports, the Dutch footballer will join Les Gones in a deal which could potentially rise to £21.7m. Lyon will pay an initial £16m upfront with the remaining £5.7m to be settled as add-ons which includes a couple of surprises.
Lyon will have to cough up the additional fee, if they are to qualify for the Champions League and offer the player with a new contract in the future.
Memphis last featured for Manchester United in a competitive fixture back in November, and he will take sometime to get back to his best at his new club.
