AC Milan are still in negotiations with Everton over a proposed deal for Spanish winger Gerard Deulofeu.
The Rossoneri had mistakenly posted on their Twitter account that a deal to bring Deulofeu to San Siro had been completed, and this angered the Toffees' hierarchy.
Since then, the Milan giants have erased the offending tweet, and when quizzed about the situation, the Rossoneri president Adriano Galliani confirmed that the deal is still in progress.
He said: "I am authorised to say that the negotiations for Deulofeu are continuing,".
"Are we feeling confident? The only thing I can say is that the negotiations continue."
Deulofeu has had limited first-team action under Ronald Koeman this season, after having made just 11 appearances - seven of them from the substitutes' bench.
