Kaisers Klinsmann worry

Kaiser's Klinsmann worry

29 January 2008 - 20:51

Bayern Munich chief Franz Beckenbauer has voiced his concerns at the club's decision to appoint Jurgen Klinsmann as the new coach; citing his lack of experience at club level as a potential problem.

  • Chelsea ready new contract for star midfielder
  • Chelsea make first move to sign Xabi Alonso
  • Bayern revealed earlier this month that Klinsmann would be the successor to Ottmar Hitzfeld when the current coach steps down in the summer.

However, Beckenbauer is concerned that the former international striker's only coaching experience is two years in charge of the German national side.

"I can only hope he can last out for the full two years," said Beckenbauer.

"He has not tried this yet. He has got to know that coaching a club is different to coaching the national team."
