Crystal Palace are hoping to sign Liverpool outcast Mamadou Sakho before today's 11m transfer deadline. The France international has not kicked the ball for the Reds this season.
Sakho, 26, has been excluded from the first-team squad ever since his poor behaviour in the pre-season tour of the United States.
The centre-back had interrupted Jurgen Klopp while he was giving an interview and this did not go well with the German.
The Mail claims that the Eagles are in the running to sign Sakho on deadline day as Sam Allardyce seeks to bolster his squad further.
The Frenchman is currently valued at a hefty price of £20m, but the Eagles are nevertheless expected to place an offer of their own for the defender.
Allardyce has already signed the likes of Jeffrey Schlupp and Patrick van Aanholt to bolster the Crystal Palace defence this month. Â
