Inter Milan forward Gabriel Barbosa has played down a potential switch away from San Siro despite his limited action in the starting lineup this season.

  • The Brazil international was the subject of a loan-cum-buy approach from Liverpool last month, but he opted to stay put at the Nerazzurri where he still feels 'very happy'.

With just 51 minutes of Serie A action to his name, there were suggestions that the youngster could be frustrated at the Nerazzurri.

However, tGabriel has reacted the complete opposite by insisting that he is 'ecstatic' to be featuring alongside players who he was fond of solely in video games.

"It's a bit too cold, but I'm very happy here," he told Inter's official website.

"Everyone is helping me, giving me advice and the fact I'm playing with superstars who previously I'd only see in video games is amazing. I'm ecstatic about wearing the Inter shirt."

Gabriel has seen the likes of Mauro Icardi and Eder earn the right to play upfront, and he may have to wait a while before he gets the chance to establish himself as a regular in the starting lineup.
