Man Utd receive Antoine Griezmann boost

Manchester United are reportedly in pole position to sign Antoine Griezmann with Atletico Madrid having identified a potential replacement for their French striker.

  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • According to The Telegraph, the Spanish giants have admitted defeat in keeping hold of their asset with United tipped to trigger the player's £85m release clause in the summer.

Griezmann has maintained his form this campaign with 17 goals across all competitions, and Atleti are prepared to compensate for his exit with a move for Alexandre Lacazette.

The France international, currently at Lyon, has been in a rich vein of form over the past year, but his intention to move abroad could facilitate Atleti's pursuit of his services.

Premier League giants Arsenal had previously failed with a £40m approach for Lacazette last summer, but Atleti are confident of warding off any interest to sign the in-form striker.

Lacazette has netted over 20 goals in each of his last three seasons at Lyon and looks set to achieve the 30-goal mark in Ligue 1 this term.
