Bellerin sees no Arsenal future without Wenger

Hector Bellerin sets sights on joining rivals

27 February 2017 - 06:45

Spain international Hector Bellerin could be the latest to swap Arsenal for a move to Manchester City in the summer.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Arsenal handed huge boost ahead of Bournemouth clash

  • The 21-year-old has owned the right-back position under Arsene Wenger in recent years, but he is now said to be assessing his future with the manager likely to leave the club.

Wenger had played a huge part in the Spaniard's development from a right-sided winger to right-back, and the youngster had committed to a fresh six-year deal earlier in the season with assurances that the Frenchman would stay.

The Gunners have already tabled a fresh two-year deal for Wenger, but it appears that the 67-year-old could decline the offer, should the club go trophyless this season.

Pep Guardiola's side have signed the likes of Samir Nasri, Gael Clichy and Bacary Sagna from Arsenal over the past few years, and Bellerin could the next to switch clubs this summer.

Bellerin has been identified as a potential replacement for former Gunners Bacary Sagna whose contract is due to expire at the end of the season.
