Former England Manager In Talks With Leicester

Leicester's search for a new manager may shortly be over, as a former England boss, who was not one of the initial favourites for the role, has reportedly been holding talks with the club, with a view to take over at the King Power Stadium.

  • Bookmakers have made Roy Hodgson the new favourite to become the next permanent Leicester City manager. It is believed that the owners of the club are keen to bring in a man with experience, and Hodgson, 69, has plenty of that.

Although his last role, as manager of the England football team, didn't end particularly well, as England were knocked out of Euro 2016 by Iceland, after a string of lacklustre performances, Hodgson is vastly experienced and may be able to offer Leicester Premier League security in the future.

Interim manager Craig Shakespeare is a popular member of staff, and is expected to remain in charge for the immediate future, Shakespeare is interested in the role full time, and results such as the victory over Liverpool will do his chances no harm. Leicester owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha is keen to bring in Hodgson however according to reports this evening in the Daily Mail.
