Sanchez fed up at Arsenal, wants new challenge

Alexis Sanchez wants to quit Arsenal after Wenger fall-out

06 March 2017 - 06:11

Chile international Alexis Sanchez is prepared to call quits on his Arsenal career following a series of heated arguments with manager Arsene Wenger which saw him being benched for the Gunners clash against Liverpool over the weekend.

  • Chelsea want to pay only £25m for Alejandro Garnacho
  • Marseille table bid for Chelsea defender

  • The 28-year-old was only brought on after the first period in a game which the side eventually lost 3-1 despite an improved performance alongside the attacker in the second half.

Initially, manager Arsene Wenger had suggested that he had decided to bench Sanchez to engage a more direct style of play with Danny Welbeck and Alex Iwobi on the field.

However, The Mail now reveals that the decision was truly based on what had happened earlier in the week with Wenger looking to keep out negativity from his starting lineup.

Sanchez is said to feel humiliated at being left out of such a key encounter, and he is willing to continue his contract stand-off ahead of a summer move away from the Emirates.

The Chilean, whose contracted to Arsenal until 2018, has amassed 20 goals and 14 assists in all competitions this campaign. He is currently the subject of interest from Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and Atletico Madrid.
