  • News outlet AS has reported that the Ligue 1 club have rejected the bid, which would have made him the most expensive player of all time, all whilst he is still a teenager. The club that made the offer has remained unnamed, however Manchester United and Arsenal are known to be interested in signing him in the summer.

Mbappe is part of the Monaco team that sits top of the French premier division, and he has drawn attention from all over the world, scoring nineteen goals for the team that has entertained many this campaign. He also starred in the spectacle of the Champions League final sixteen tie against Manchester City, which saw the French outfit progress.

Arsenal are said to see Mbappe as the man to lead a revival at the Emirates next season, however it is unknown whether they would be willing to spend this sort of money. A club that is no stranger to spending big on players is Manchester United. Jose Mourinho is rumoured to have a huge transfer budget for the summer, and Mbappe would join fellow young French players Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial.

Real Madrid and Barcelona are also showing interest in Mbappe, meaning that Monaco will find it very difficult to keep hold of their rising star, however will make a healthy profit if they do lose him.
