Wilshere eyeing Serie A move this summer

Jack Wilshere to push for Serie A transfer?

23 March 2017 - 14:37

England international Jack Wilshere will push for an exit from Arsenal in the summer, should Arsene Wenger remain at the helm next season.

  • Man Utd eyeing move for Chelsea defensive duo?
  • Predicted Man Utd line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Newcastle, Rashford starts

  • The 25-year-old is currently on a season-long loan at Bournemouth where he recently found himself a regular on the substitutes' bench.

Bleacher Report claims that Wenger, who is still uncertain about his future, does not see Wilshere as part of his first-team plans, and this will, in turn, see the playmaker leave the Emirates this summer.

Wilshere had been a definite starter under Eddie Howe for much of the ongoing campaign, but he has since fallen down the pecking order with the manager opting to play two upfront.

Both AS Roma and AC Milan had enquired over the Englishman during the previous summer transfer window, and it is understood that Wilshere could push for a Serie A move where he could yet be reunited with Wojciech Szczesny.

Szczesny, who is in the second year of his loan deal at Roma, is open to the prospect of a permanent move at the end of the current campaign.

Wilshere has failed to find the net in his 23 league outings for Bournemouth this season - four of them from the bench.
