Jose Mourinho ready to sanction £35m deal for Serie A attacker

Perisic could be off to United this summer

Jose Mourinho ready to sanction £35m deal for Serie A attacker

25 March 2017 - 07:45

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho had jetted off to Croatia last night to hold negotiations with the representative of winger Ivan Perisic.

  • Chelsea ready to sell four home-grown players
  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts

  • The 28-year-old has been in good form for Inter Milan since the turn of the year, and Mourinho has identified him as the perfect fit to occupy the left-wing position.

According to The Sun, the Special One was present in the stands during Croatia's 1-0 win over Ukraine in the World Cup qualifiers - a game where Perisic was suspended.

The former Wolfsburg man served a one-match ban against the Yellow-Blue after he was sent off late in the 2-0 win over Iceland in November 2016.

Perisic's agent Predrag Rajkovic has previously occupied the sporting director position at Real Madrid, and his close relationship with Jose Mourinho could play a part in pushing through the deal this summer.

Inter Milan have maintained their stance on not selling Perisic in the summer, and they could consider the option, should a fee of around £35m be tabled.
