Man United plan to re-sign England international

02 April 2017 - 10:26

Manchester United are reportedly open to the prospect of re-signing Michael Keane, who is currently in the ranks of Burnley.

  • Chelsea ready new contract for star midfielder
  • Chelsea make first move to sign Xabi Alonso
  • The 24-year-old left the Red Devils for Burnley for £2.5m in January 2015 after then-manager Louis Van Gaal made him aware that he would struggle for first-team opportunities at Old Trafford.

Keane has since gone from strength to strength in his time at Turf Moor, and he is now a key part of the England national side after having made his debut during the international break.

The likes of Chelsea, Everton and Manchester City have been credited with an interest in the centre-back over the past month, and according to The Mail, United have added him to their list of targets for the summer transfer window.

It is added that Jose Mourinho's side will have to spend at least 10 times of his previous sale value (£25m) with the Clarets determined to make the most from their leading player.

Keane, who is a product of the United youth system, made a solitary league appearance for the Red Devils before moving to the Lancashire outfit - initially on a short-term loan.
