Willy Caballero to quit Man City?

Caballero unsure of City future beyond this summer

Willy Caballero to quit Man City?

09 May 2017 - 05:41

Wilfredo Caballero could reportedly snub a fresh contract at Manchester City in order to earn regular playing time at a new club.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • The former Malaga man has earned sufficient opportunities in the first-team this season with Pep Guardiola not entirely convinced with the abilities of summer recruit Claudio Bravo.

Joe Hart, currently on a season-long at Torino, is due to return to the Etihad in the summer, and this could hinder Caballero's first-team prospects, should Pep regain trust in the Englishman.

In a report on The Mirror, Caballero admits that his future is up in the air in the summer with his contract due to expire in a couple of months' time.

The Mancunian giants are due to discuss a fresh deal with the 35-year-old during the off-season, but it is suggested that he could turn down their offer altogether for a potential switch elsewhere.

Caballero has appeared 44 times for Manchester City since his £6m switch from Spanish club Malaga in the summer of 2014.
