Chelsea winger Willian has distanced himself from a move to Manchester United this summer by claiming that he is content at Stamford Bridge.

  • The Brazil international has been a regular in the substitutes' bench this term with manager Antonio Conte preferring to play the likes of Eden Hazard and Pedro in the wide positions.

Willian has not started a league game for the Premier League holders since March, but he is nevertheless happy to stay put at the club.

"My future is here with Chelsea," he told The Star. "I have a contract until 2020 and I’m happy. I know sometimes players always want to play, but I understand why I’m not playing much."

The 2015/16 Blues' Player of the Year had been pursued by Jose Mourinho last summer, but his hopes were diminished after Willian inked a fresh four-year deal.

Willian has since failed to clinch a regular place in the starting lineup, but the prospect of Champions League football next season, could Conte rotate his options on a much frequent basis.
