Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has reportedly club president Florentino Perez to push through a deal for Chelsea ace N'Golo Kante in the summer.

  • The France international has been simply sensational over the past few seasons after having won the Premier League title with both Leicester City and Chelsea.

According to The Star, Los Blancos could be prepared to test the Blues' resolve with a bid for one of their star performers other than Eden Hazard.

Hazard has been continuously linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in recent weeks, but the Blues are determined to keep hold of their leading asset on a new bumper deal.

Kante made the step up from Leicester to lift the English crown with Chelsea, and as per a statement from his former Nice coach, he would not mind pushing for a bigger challenge in the future.

"He has had a rapid rise, but it has been progressive. He was in Ligue 2, then Ligue 1. He goes to England with Leicester, they win the Premier League," Patrick Garande told ESPN back in October.

"Then he goes to Chelsea, and after that he'll go to a very, very big European club, that's for sure."

Kante was rewarded with the PFA Player of the Year award for the 2016/17 season after having just missed out on the accolade to Riyad Mahrez last term.
