Ever since John Terry announced that he would leave Chelsea at the end of the season he has been linked with a move to fellow Premier League side Bournemouth. Reports today, however, suggest that Terry is not part of manager Eddie Howe's transfer plans.

  • In the twenty-sixth minute of Chelsea's final day victory against Sunderland, Stamford Bridge said goodbye to club legend John Terry. It was not an easy decision for the former England captain to make, but it was one that he felt he must make in order to prolong his playing career.

Bournemouth were one of the clubs that were very quickly linked with the defender, but the Daily Echo reports today that Eddie Howe will not attempt to bring him to the club.

One England international that Howe does want to bring to the club is striker Jermaine Defoe, who is available on a free transfer following Sunderland's relegation. Reports are suggesting that the two parties are very close to completing a deal.

Bournemouth may not be interested in Terry, but they are showing interest in two other Chelsea players. Nathan Ake and Asmir Begovic are being linked with the club, as Bournemouth look to build on their highest ever league finish.
