Everton looking at other options than Valencia

Everton to walk away from Enner Valencia deal

Everton will reportedly snub the chance of signing winger Enner Valencia on a permanent basis from West Ham United in the summer.

  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal
  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • The Ecuador international joined the Toffees on a season-long loan last August with an obligation for a permanent £11m move at the end of the season.

Valencia has appeared in just 23 outings under Ronald Koeman this term- out of which only seven have been starts, and according to The Liverpool Echo, the attacker will be heading to east London this summer.

Koeman is understood to have identified better options to reinforce his attack front in the summer with Swansea City's Gylfi Sigurdsson and Manchester United's Wayne Rooney on his wishlist.

Sigurdsson has had another top season with Swansea netting nine goals and 13 assists, and the Dutchman is keen to lure him to Goodison following a failed approach last summer.

Meanwhile, Rooney's future at Old Trafford appears to be bleak following his restricted playing time, and he could accept a potential return to his hometown club.
