West Brom join pursuit of Arsenal defender

West Bromwich Albion could reportedly rival a long list of clubs in the pursuit of Arsenal left-back Kieran Gibbs in the summer.

  • Chelsea midfielder looking forward to London derby vs Spurs
  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • The 27-year-old has just a year left on his existing Gunners deal, and he is being widely tipped to seek pastures new next season.

Gibbs played second fiddle to Nacho Monreal for most of the campaign before the switch to the 3-4-2-1 formation earned him some valuable playing time.

In spite of this, he continues to struggle with occasional injuries, and this could spell an end to his Gunners career with Sead Kolasinac due to link up on a free transfer next month.

Both Brighton & Hove Albion and Newcastle United have been credited with an interest in the Englishman, but according to The Sun, the Baggies could lodge a potential attempt with Tony Pulis being a huge admirer.

Gibbs made just eight starts in the Premier League all season, and he could prefer a switch to a fellow English club where he could push for a potential international comeback through his form.
