Nainggolan to decide on his future after holidays

Radja Nainggolan to Man United?

08 June 2017 - 05:36

Belgium international Radja Nainggolan has refused to rule out a move to Old Trafford ahead of the summer transfer window. The 29-year-old contributed 15 goals and seven assists for the Giallorossi who finished second in the Serie A.

  • Arsenal handed injury boost on defender ahead of Bournemouth clash
  • Chelsea planning shock move for Man City winger?

  • Nainggolan had been the subject of interest from league rivals Chelsea last summer, but he opted to snub their advances following their failure to secure European football.

The midfield anchorman has since enjoyed another successful season with Roma, but there is still the sense that he would like to win trophies at a bigger club.

According to The Mirror, the experienced campaigner could be eyeing a fresh challenge elsewhere following Luciano Spalletti's dismissal from the managerial role.

Nainggolan held a close relationship with Spalletti, who brought the best of his game, and there is also a talk of a potential reunion at Inter Milan, where the Italian recently took over.

Speaking on the Old Trafford link, Nainggolan refused to confirm or deny the speculation suggesting that there could be some truth in the gossip.

“It may be true. It may not be true," he is quoted as saying in The Mirror. “We’ll see. I am going on holiday and then we will talk about it.

United are unlikely to face any potential Premier League interest for Nainggolan this summer with Blues boss Antonio Conte still angry over last summer's snub.
