West Bromwich Albion are looking to sign Hull City's Tom Huddlestone following The Tigers' relegation, as Tony Pulis hunts for a replacement for the departing Darren Fletcher.
Fletcher swapped West Brom for Stoke after agreeing a two year contract with Mark Hughes' Potters side. The former Manchester United midfielder will add stability to the centre of Stoke's team, as they look to climb up the Premier League table.
West Brom manager Tony Pulis now has the task of replacing the Scotland international and sees former Tottenham midfielder Tom Huddlestone as an appropriate alternative.
Due to Hull City's relegation from the Premier League at the end of last season, a release clause would allow The Baggies to sign him for as little as £2 million.
If Huddlestone leaves the KCOM, he would be the second first team player to leave Hull City this summer. Centre back Curtis Davies recently left the club to join fellow Championship side Derby County.
Following relegation, it is crucial to keep a financial balance. However, if Hull City are to get the quick return to the Premier League that they desperately want, they will have to keep as many of their best players as possible.
