Swansea City interested in Adebayor

Swansea City are hoping to move higher up the table this season after surviving a relegation battle

Swansea City interested in Adebayor

Swansea City are looking into the possibility of a swap deal that would see Emmanuel Adebayor return to the Premier League, with Bafetimbi Gomis going the opposite way to Turkey.

  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • Gomis was loaned out to Marseille by Swansea last season and it is understood that he does not have a future at the Welsh club under the management of Paul Clement.

Gomis, who scored 21 goals last season, is of interest to Turkish club Istanbul Basaksehir, who currently have Emmanuel Adebayor. The former Arsenal and Manchester City striker helped his club to a second place finish in the league last season, but he is believed to want a move back to England.

The Mirror reports that this move would suit both parties and it looks like the deal would be a straight swap.

Adebayor has plenty of Premier League experience, having represented Arsenal, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace, although he admitted this week that his decision to join Palace was the worst of his career.
