Real Madrid not interested in David de Gea?

Florentino Perez dismisses De Gea link?

Real Madrid not interested in David de Gea?

20 June 2017 - 09:49

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has suggested that the club may not revive their interest in Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea this summer.

  • Arsenal to swap Gabriel Jesus for Inter Milan star?
  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • The 26-year-old has been heavily tipped for a Los Blancos move following his decision to put his Manchester house up for sale.

United have courted a keen interest in Real Madrid's Alvaro Morata in recent weeks, and a report from Marca recently claimed that De Gea could be offered as makeweight in a player-plus-cash deal.

However, Perez has apparently dismissed the transfer speculation by insisting that manager Zinedine Zidane is happy with Keylor Navas between the sticks.

"We haven't spoken to De Gea," he told Onda Cero. "The players are very fond of Keylor and also the coach. I like Keylor Navas. Why he wanted Gea before? Because Zinedine Zidane did not know [Navas]."

De Gea was on the cusp of joining the Champions League holders back in the summer of 2015, but a delay in paperwork pulled the plug on the proposed move.
