Mexican starlet watched by Arsenal scouts

Arsenal monitoring Hirving Lozano

30 September 2017 - 09:40

Arsenal have sent scouts to monitor the progress of PSV Eindhoven and Mexico international winger Hirving Lozano. The 22-year-old has had an explosive start to his career playing for PSV in the Eredivisie.

  • Chelsea have discussed move for Alejandro Garnacho
  • Spanish star has arrived in London to complete Arsenal transfer

  • The Mexico City born attacker, who arrived at PSV Eindhoven from Pachuca for a fee of around 10 million euros, is very highly rated and considered one of the best players to come out of Central America for over a decade. Having already appeared for Mexico's international team over 20 times, Lozano has plenty of experience at the highest level and has also appeared 120 times for his former club before making a move to the Netherlands.

Arsenal's head scout Steve Rowley has been attending games in Eindhoven of late to watch other targets, but the performances of Hirving are what caught the eye of the scouting team. Despite having only arrived in the Eredivisie in June 2017, there are rumours that Arsenal will make a 25 million euro bid in January with regard to a permanent move next summer.

Lozano could be signed as a replacement for Alexis Sanchez as the Mexican's preferred position is playing on the left wing.
