Coutinho set for winter Liverpool exit

Liverpool agree to Philippe Coutinho sale?

11 October 2017 - 13:03

Liverpool will reportedly permit the sale of midfielder Philippe Coutinho during the winter transfer window. The Reds snubbed as many as three bids from Barcelona in the summer with the club's hierarchy stressing that the attacker was not for sale.

  • Chelsea midfielder looking forward to London derby vs Spurs
  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • Coutinho has since recovered from a bout of injury and illness to make six appearances for the Reds, contributing three goals and one assist, in all competitions.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the Reds have struck a verbal agreement with their leading playmaker which could see him join Barcelona in the New Year.

Barcelona's final bid was in excess of £100m in the summer, and Jurgen Klopp's side are prepared to accept what's called a 'reasonable offer' at the start of 2018.

Coutinho has been the sole scorer for Liverpool in their previous three outings in all competitions, and this is a concern for Klopp, whose side won just one game in the month of September.
