  • The Brazil international had a horror show alongside Antonio Rudiger during the 3-0 humbling at AS Roma in midweek, and this could cost him his place, The Sun reports.

Andreas Christensen has been training rigorously to feature in the back three, and there is a suggestion that the Dane will replace the Brazilian.

No major bust-up is said to have occurred between Luiz and Conte, but the manager is nevertheless prepared to make a strong decision amid doubts over his future.

According to The Times, Conte's time at Stamford Bridge could be limited and a defeat versus United could force owner Roman Abramovich to seriously consider his position.

AC Milan have already been touted as a potential destination for the Blues boss following their poor start in the Serie A. Vincenzo Montella's men are eighth on their table, 15 points behind pace-setters Napoli.
