Jorginho's agent reacts to Manchester United speculation

The representative of Jorginho has clarified that Manchester United have not made any contact regarding a potential move during the summer transfer window.

The Italy international has been an influential player for Napoli at the centre of the park, and his performances over the past nine months have attracted interest from the Red Devils.

United are expecting to lose both Michael Carrick and Marouane Fellaini at the end of the season, and Jose Mourinho is seemingly after a new central midfielder with excellent ball distribution skills.

Jorginho has been one of the names brought forward in recent weeks, but his agent Joao Santos has dismissed holding any communication line with Mourinho's side.

"As a player for one of the most important national teams, and a club fighting for the Scudetto, it's clear he'll be looked at by these clubs," he told Radio Crc.

"I've spoken with [Napoli sporting director Cristiano] Giuntoli three times in recent months. He hasn't told me anything, but I haven't had any contact with United."

Aside from Jorginho, the Red Devils have also been credited with an interest in Shakhtar Donetsk's Fred who is said to favour a move to Manchester at the end of the season.
