Manchester United duo suffer injuries on international duty

McTominay, Romero doubtful for Swansea game

Manchester United duo suffer injuries on international duty

27 March 2018 - 22:57

Manchester United pair Scott McTominay and Sergio Romero are doubtful to feature during this weekend's Premier League game against Swansea City.

  • Chelsea ready to sell four home-grown players
  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts

  • McTominay was forced to pull out of the Scotland squad to face Hungary with a tight calf muscle, as per The Record, and he is now a doubt to make the starting lineup versus Swansea.

The young midfielder has earned a regular run in Jose Mourinho's side ahead of Paul Pogba, but the Frenchman may probably return to the mix after a strong showing against Russia where he netted a stunning free-kick alongside an assist in a 3-1 win.

Aside from McTominay, the club may also be without the advances of back-up goalkeeper Sergio Romero, who suffered a collision with Diego Costa during a friendly between Argentina and Spain.

Romero could not continue thereafter, and his substitution coincided with a collapse which saw the 2014 World Cup finalists lose 6-1 to La Roja at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.
