Manchester United are reportedly prepared to offer Arturo Vidal with a bumper contract in order to lure him from Bayern Munich at the end of the season.

  • The Chile international has just 15 months left on his existing deal with the Bavarian giants, and this has spread speculation of him leaving the club with Leon Goretzka being signed as his potential replacement.

According to La Cuarta, United are said to have planned talks with agent Fernando Felicevich, who is the representative of Vidal and Red Devils star Alexis Sanchez.

Should the midfielder give the green light, United are ready to bid as much as £42m for his services whilst offering him a bumper contract which includes incentives on winning silverware.

Jose Mourinho has placed the impetus on bolstering the midfield department in the summer, and he is said to be on the watch for an experienced head this summer.

Michael Carrick has already announced his retirement at the end of the season whilst Marouane Fellaini may also head through the Old Trafford exit door amid his reluctance to sign a new deal beyond the summer.
