Manchester City readying big-money move for Paris Saint-Germain star?

15 April 2018 - 15:47

Manchester City are reportedly drawing up their plans to pursue Kylian Mbappe, should Paris Saint-Germain fail to comply with the Financial Fair Play regulations.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Arsenal handed huge boost ahead of Bournemouth clash

  • The French heavyweights are currently being investigated by UEFA for their world-record £198m signing of Neymar whilst they are also due to pay £167m to turn Mbappe's loan move into a permanent one.

According to The Mirror, the Citizens could look into the possibility of signing the former AS Monaco man, should Les Parisiens face sanctions from the regulatory authorities.

Les Parisiens could be ousted from participating in the Champions League and face fines if they are found to have broken fair play procedures, and this supposedly makes Mbappe's future uncertain.

City boss Pep Guardiola is keen to pursue a new wide player during the summer, and Chelsea's Eden Hazard and Leicester City's Riyad Mahrez have also been linked with the champions-elect.

Mbappe has appeared in 38 matches for Paris Saint-Germain during the ongoing campaign, contributing 19 goals and a further 17 assists across all competitions.
