Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has reportedly decided against making a move for AS Monaco's Thomas Lemar. The France international has been on the Reds' radar since the previous summer transfer window but it now appears that they have cooled their interest.
Lemar has been on multiple occasions associated with the Reds, and recent reports suggested that he could be signed as a replacement for Philippe Coutinho, who left the Merseysiders for Barcelona in January.
However, according to The Liverpool Echo, this does not appear the case with Klopp not impressed by the Frenchman's showing over the course of the current campaign.
Lemar bagged 14 goals for Monaco during their title-winning campaign last term, but his performances have since been average with just three goals managed this season.
This supposedly makes Arsenal favourites to sign Lemar during the summer although manager Arsene Wenger has hinted that the Gunners may not necessarily spend on forward players.
