Barcelona are reportedly considering a move for Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso as they seek to offload Lucas Digne from their ranks this summer.
Digne has struggled to offer sufficient competition to Jordi Alba for the left-back spot in recent seasons and the Blaugrana are seemingly prepared to sell him in order to find a new replacement.
According to Sport, the Catalan giants are said to have an eye on Alonso, who has transformed into a top-notch footballer since his return to the Premier League.
Alonso's arrival at Stamford Bridge had not been well received initially but the Spaniard has since put in consistent performances whilst also chipping in with key goals.
As per Sport, Alonso is being eyed as a probable replacement for Digne, who is reportedly attracting interest from Juventus ahead of this summer's transfer window.
Alonso, who was named in the PFA Team of the Year, earned his maiden Spanish cap earlier in March, and he is now being widely fancied to make his country's World Cup squad.
