Chelsea eyeing move for Fiorentina right-back?
Chelsea could reportedly consider a move for Fiorentina right-back Michael Kayode amid the injury woes for Reece James.
James has been largely injury prone over the past 18 months and he is currently on the sidelines nursing a hamstring issue.
The England international was anticipated to return in mid-September, but his recovery has been slower than initially predicted.
TBR football now claim that Chelsea are weighing up options for the right-back role and Kayode is one of the top names on their radar.
Malo Gusto is currently the regular choice with James injured. The Blues want to bring in another specialist right-back next year.
Meanwhile, the west London giants are monitoring the fitness of James. Should his situation not improve, they could offload him.
The club have been patient with their captain over the last year, but there is now genuine concern over his ability to stay fit for long.
Chelsea will be in Premier League action at West Ham tomorrow.
