AS Monaco are prepared to use Michael Emenalo's former links with Chelsea in order to negotiate a summer deal for David Luiz.
The Brazil international fell out-of-favour under Antonio Conte during the backend of 2017 and he has since spent time on the sidelines with a knee problem.
According to Goal.com, former Blues' technical director Michael Emenalo has set his sights on pursuing Luiz from Stamford Bridge, though the deal may depend on Antonio Conte's position.
Luiz has been underused by Conte over the course of the campaign and the Brazilian is keen to know the status of Conte first before deciding on his future.
Conte is said to have a shrewd relationship with Luiz since the latter's poor display in the 3-0 defeat to AS Roma and the Italian's probable exit may tempt the defender to remain with the club.
Luiz has been in the treatment room since his previous appearance in mid-February and Conte has recently refused to confirm whether the Brazilian will feature again this term.
