Manchester United confirm Blind sale

Manchester United confirm Blind sale

17 July 2018 - 06:37

Manchester United have confirmed that a deal has been agreed to sell Daley Blind to Ajax, Sky Sports reports.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • The Dutch giants will pay an initial fee of £14.1m which could rise to £18.5m.

Blind was with Ajax before moving to United after the 2014 World Cup in Brazil for £14m. That was under former Holland and Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal.

In the four years the Dutch international has been at Old Trafford, he has made 90 appearances in the Premier League. He also won the FA Cup in 2016, the League Cup and the Europa League in 2017.

He was not a regular last season making only 17 appearances in all competition. This has resulted in his transfer back to Ajax where he is expected to revive his career.

Prior to his move to United, Blind was a hit at the 2014 World Cup and was tipped to do well as he progressed.

He started well at Old Trafford being able to play in a variety of positions. But under Jose Mourinho, he has not seen much playing time.
