Liverpool have reportedly ended their interest in signing Nabil Fekir from Lyon during the ongoing transfer window.

  • The Reds were being fancied to make a fresh approach for the Frenchman following the World Cup but the deal now appears dead, according to Le Progres.

Back in June, Fekir was supposedly on the cusp of joining the Reds after undergoing a medical and receiving a shirt number but the club pulled out of the deal at the final hurdle amid concerns over an underlying knee problem.

Since then, Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has cited his ambition to keep hold of the attacker and the Reds have now officially ended their pursuit after being priced out of the move.

Jurgen Klopp's side were reluctant to pay a fee of around £53m after getting to know of the winger's injury history and Les Gones are said to have since upped the player's valuation by £10m.
