Jose Mourinho wont restrict Anthony Martials sale

Martial could leave United this summer

Jose Mourinho won't restrict Anthony Martial's sale

24 July 2018 - 14:58

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho won't block the summer exit of Anthony Martial, should the Frenchman demand an exit from the club.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • The France international has become a fan favourite during his three seasons at United but his future has come under question amid Mourinho's reluctance to offer him regular gametime.

According to The Manchester Evening News, the United boss won't restrict the departure of Martial during the summer transfer window, if he personally demands an exit from Old Trafford.

Martial is presently with the Red Devils for their pre-season tour in the United States where he has failed to find the scoresheet against Club America and San Jose Earthquakes.

His current contract is scheduled to expire at the end of the 2018/19 campaign but United could exercise an extension clause which would prolong his stay until the summer of 2020.

Both Chelsea and Bayern Munich have expressed an interest in signing the Frenchman but neither have shown the ambition of matching United's £75m price tag.
