Higuain to make move to bitter Serie A rivals

Gonzalo Higuain to leave Juventus for AC Milan

31 July 2018 - 06:12

Argentina international striker Gonzalo Higuain will swap Juventus for AC Milan in an initial loan deal but with the option for a permanent contract. It is understood that Milan will pay 20 million euros for the 2018-19 campaign and then have first-choice to sign Higuain on a permanent deal for 28 million euros.

  • The arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo at the "Old Lady" appears to have signalled the end to Higuain's topsy turvy Juventus career and now the striker will depart for a move to one of Italy's other top sides.

AC Milan technical director Leonardo has been locked in talks with Juventus for over a week and it appears that the Rossoneri have beaten two English sides in the completion of Higuain's transfer to the San Siro.

It is expected that a deal for Gonzalo Higuain to Milan will be completed before the end of the week, allowing the striker to head to pre-season training with his new club having had extended vacation after the World Cup.
