Manchester United defender snubs Wolves switch

03 August 2018 - 09:07

Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo has reportedly snubbed the opportunity to join Wolverhampton Wanderers during the ongoing transfer window.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • The Argentina international was restricted to just 12 appearances for the Red Devils during the 2017/18 campaign and reports have since suggested that Jose Mourinho could part ways with the former Sporting graduate.

As such, Wolverhampton Wanderers have been linked with the Argentine defender but according to Ole, the 28-year-old has no plans of joining the newcomers.

Wolves have had a good transfer window where they have signed the likes of Joao Moutinho and Rui Patricio but Rojo has supposedly knocked back their advances by deeming them as a 'minor club'.

Rojo only extended his Old Trafford contract in March this year but United are said to have made the move in order to maintain his transfer value for the future.

The Argentine has yet to report to training with Manchester United as he continues to recover from an unspecified injury sustained during the recent World Cup.
