Origi still wanted at Dortmund

German giants remain keen on landing Liverpool striker

Borussia Dortmund are reportedly maintaining their interest in signing Divock Origi from Liverpool before the end of the German transfer window.

  • Chelsea agree personal terms with Adam Wharton
  • Chelsea planning £40m bid to sign West Ham star
  • The Belgium international is presently at Anfield after a disappointing loan stint with Wolfsburg, but he is free to leave the Reds before the end of the month.

According to ESPN, Dortmund have failed to reach an agreement over a transfer package for Origi but they remain hopeful of striking a deal in the next nine days.

Dortmund are said to have proposed a loan move with the view to a permanent deal but the Reds are supposedly looking for an outright sale of around &pound25m.

During the early stages of his career, Origi had got the opportunity to compete for a back-up role to the starting lineup but his chances of the same look bleak with Daniel Sturridge impressing in pre-season.

Aside from Sturridge, Dominic Solanke has also jumped ahead of Origi in the pecking order after a decent debut campaign with Jurgen Klopp's side last season.
