Arsenal manager Unai Emery has reportedly earmarked Napoli attacker Piotr Zielinski as a suitable replacement for contract rebel Aaron Ramsey.
Ramsey's future with the Gunners remains uncertain with him having entered the final year of his contract without any progress over an extension.
As a result, the club are seemingly looking into the future with the prospect of Ramsey leaving in January and the search to fill the void seems already underway.
According to Sport Mediaset, Emery has identified Zielinski as the perfect candidate to replace Ramsey at the Emirates after witnessing his good progress with Napoli.
Zielinski, who is presently contracted to the Naples outfit until 2021, has previously attracted interest from Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool, though the Reds have not made a formal approach.
Arsenal started the season poorly with back-to-back league defeats but they have since won seven games across all competitions including five on the bounce in the English top-flight.
